| Very relaxing and pleasant 2 days, could not have wished for anything better. Very homely atmosphere and friendly staff. My mother and I had come to Cheshire on a solemn visit to disposed of my fathers ashes, so the visit was made 100% better by our stay here.

The hotel looked homey and welcoming and upon arrival, we were upgraded to a larger room. The room was lovely and had informative brochures of the surrounding area, as well as a map. The coffee and tea facilities were good, although the hairdryer didn't work and there were no shampoos or shower gel. The staff were extemely friendly and let us leave our bags there after we had checked out and gave us directions to the station.

| Although our trip to Chester was not a pleasure jaunt, the friendliness of the staff and the comfortable room made a sad occasion more bearable.

Hotel staff were very friendly and breakfast excellent. Room was very clean as was the bathroom. Facilities in room all working - no problems. Four poster bed - very nice and linen crisp clean and fresh. Car parking at rear was definitely an advantage and distance from Chester town centre within walking distance 7- 10 minutes very convenient. Accomodation booked for Chester Races Ladies evening couldn't have bene better. Thank you..

The hotel was exactly as described, which was a big plus for me! Staff were very helpful and there was always someone there to take care of any questions and queries.

I think the information prior to booking was fine. We could see on the website what the hotel is like and the routing instructions to find it were clear and helpful. There was plenty of information in the hotel itself regarding local activities and sightseeing possibilities. Not relevant this time but useful for another trip to see our daughter. In summer we would want to stay longer.
It was clean and homely. The room was a decent size and the bed was very comfortable! The staff were friendly and helpful. It was in a good position for us - near to our daughter's university (and accomodation) and not too far to walk into the town centre. The price was fine. Good to have tea/coffee facilities in the room. Also useful to have a private car park.

| The Brookside Hotel was a wonderful surprise. In the US it is often difficult to find a two-bedroom suite or any arrangement suitable to accommodate five people. My research prior to my visit indicated that in the UK it would be close to impossible. I could only hope to acquire two separate rooms. However, this was not the case at The Brookside. For about the same cost of one of the two rooms I would have acquired, The Brookside provided better accommodations that allowed my family to stay together. (Two-bedroom suite) With the exception of an insecure bathroom light that was not repaired as promised and no telephone in the room, the service was wonderful. The room was always clean and amenities such as soap and shampoo where always refreshed when we would come back to our room at the end of a day of sightseeing. The food was good, however, if you like coffee with your supper you need to make that clear as the staff had assumed I wanted it after the meal. The Brookside is located in a very nice neighborhood atmosphere but Brook Lane is very busy making getting in and out of and parking a little difficult to manage. I haven’t received any calls or additional charges to my credit card so I assume that my children and I will be welcomed back. We definitely plan to stay there again. |

We had a very good and impressive stay in Brookside Hotel, Brook Lane, Chester. We could not have had better accomadation and the staff did an excellent job in provision and helpfulness. It was quiet, very clean, excellent breakfasts, a staff that went out of its way to be helpful especially in regard to finding places. The initial instructions, the large ammount and rushing of traffic on the major roads going to the hotel made it difficult to find all the exits and entrances in a fast enough manner and answers to enqiries from local people would have been easier if some of the less important streets around the hotel had been named on the map. Wew suggest that visitors to the city be encouraged to buy a local street map on arrival. |
| The hotel provided the perfect base from which to explore Chester. The full English breakfast was exceptionally good. Cooked to order, it was served in a very pleasant dining room. The front-of-house staff were helpful and eager to offer assistance. We enjoyed the non-smoking room that we had booked. As North Americans, however, we were disconcerted by the persistence of smoking in public areas of the hotel. |
| The hotel is a nice stroll from Chesters sights and sounds. The room was clean with new towels each day, the breakfast was nice without being overfacing and the staff were very helpful. |

| Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at The Brookside. The staff could not be more helpful and accommodating. Food was superb and the breakfast was comprehensive and also excellent. The bar prices were not excessive. The hotel was fully booked yet Jill on reception put herself out to ensure late arrivals had a place to go to. The Brookside is 10-15mins walk from City centre and the bus stops outside the hotel every 10 mins or so. If ever staying in Chester again I would definately book this hotel.Excellent value for money! Rooms were pleasant and clean. Would fully reccommend to all. |
| The bedroom was splendid, much more luxurious than expected. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. | We found the information given on the internet was clear giving a true picture of the hotel the beds were comfy and very clean and the room was immaculate we would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will certainly be booking again in the near future. The staff were all very helpful and being vegetarians we found a wide range of vegetarian food which was well presented. |
| Nice comfortable little hotel where the foor is good and the staff are friendly. What more can I say. Would I stay again, yes, provided my concerns about firesafety were addressed by the reverse opening of the door at the bottom of the stairwell. |
| Unfortunately we only stayed at the Brookside 1 night, we were visiting both Chester and the Zoo. We are frequant visitors to Chester and the Zoo and if we ever decide to stay over again for either a day or longer then the Brookside will definately be our first choice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating; very knowledgable of the area and how to get to places. The hotel was spotless, everything was in working order and the food was of a high quality.
